In this class we will learn how to do a white-line woodcut. This is a painterly print created by carving the lines of an image onto a plank of pine, registering the paper, and then transferring an image with watercolor or gouache. This is a great, safe introduction to the technique of woodcut printmaking; students will create a small edition of prints. Supplies included.
